Vacancy: Head of Technology and Transformation

The North East Combined Authority is seeking a visionary leader to lead digital transformation at a strategic level. You will be responsible for defining and driving our digital and data strategy, aligning cutting-edge technologies with our organisational goals and KPIs. This pivotal role will work closely with the Head of People and Culture to embed digital innovation across the organisation, championing change adoption and cultural alignment that delivers measurable value for money. You will lead a high-performing team, foster digital excellence, and ensure our platforms and systems support robust performance measurement and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for a dynamic and influential leader with deep expertise in transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies, data governance. You’ll bring strong strategic and operational leadership, capable of navigating complex stakeholder environments and delivering innovative solutions in a politically governed, fast-paced setting. With responsibility for service performance, resource management, and stakeholder engagement, you’ll translate political priorities into a clear roadmap of transformation programmes.
