Employee benefits

We offer a wide range of employee benefits designed to meet the needs of modern life, and are committed to developing our colleagues.

Generous employer contribution pension scheme. We offer membership into the Local Government Pension Scheme, which remains one of the most generous schemes around. In addition to your contribution into the scheme, the employer contributes between 14% and 18%. This is a career average salary scheme and your contribution is calculated based upon a percentage of gross earnings.

Flexible and agile working. We promote a positive work-life balance to enhance employee wellbeing and to support a diverse and inclusive workforce. To achieve this, we offer a range of flexible working options.

Holidays. We offer 26 days holiday entitlement annually, plus all Bank Holidays. Holiday entitlement increases to 31 days after 5 years’ service.

As a new starter, you can expect to receive a thorough induction. Vivup employee benefits portal and lifestyle savings scheme. Vivup is an employee benefits portal that enables our employees to easily access information about our employee benefits online. The portal provides information on a number of different employee benefits. In addition, the portal provides access to Vivup’s Lifestyle Savings scheme, which features discounts across a host of major retailers.
