The North East Combined Authority draft budget proposals for 2026/27 were agreed at our Cabinet meeting on the 9 December 2025.
We manage a number of budgets, ensuring that money committed to specific programmes of work – whether capital or revenue expenditure – is spent in line with approvals.

These proposals will now be scrutinised by the North East Combined Authority Overview and Scrutiny Committee before going back to Cabinet to be finalised before the new financial year begins on 1 April 2026.
