This phase will run across the region from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 and aims to help over 8,000 people in our region to find employment in growing industries, change careers, or get the skills they need to move into a better job.
Skills Bootcamps are available in a range of skills areas, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills with a local employer. Skills Bootcamps offer bespoke training solutions to bridge existing skills gaps within high demand sectors and place the employer at the centre of training and development.
The programme benefits employers by enabling them to fill specific skills shortages and team vacancies – increasing productivity within their organisations. Additionally, Skills Bootcamps provides adults in the North East with access to sought-after training and a guaranteed fast-track interview for good quality job outcome.
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, delivered in partnership with employers and training providers.
As the Accountable Body, the North East CA is responsible for the commissioning, implementation and management of the Skills Bootcamps programme.
