The North East MSA's Integrated Settlement brings together the regions adult skills funds for 2026-27 which were previously devolved as the Adult Skills Fund, Free Courses for Jobs provision and Skills Bootcamp. The Integrated Settlement for Adult Skills is worth circa £80 million per annum for the region.

North East Skills Programme Strands

Skills Foundation

Our Skills Foundation strand focuses on building essential skills and confidence for individuals facing employment barriers to prepare them for progression.

Skills Activation

Our Skills Activation strand targets technical and sector-specific skills at Levels 2 and 3 to accelerate study, apprenticeships, and skilled employment opportunities.

Skills for Work

Our Skills for Work strand aligns with employer demand to address skill shortages and supports career progression through employer partnerships.
